    Ramou Gomez

    TECHNICIAN DIPLOMA II IN CONSTRUCTION

    Ramou is currently studying Technician Diploma II in Construction at the University of Science, Engineering and Technology.

    Ramou has consistently achieved top grades throughout her academic journey, and demonstrates a strong dedication and commitment to expanding her knowledge of the built environment. These qualities have enabled her to successfully complete a Certificate and a Diploma I in Building Construction. Upon graduation, Ramou would like to contribute to sustainable and innovative construction projects that enhance communities and improve lives.

    Ramou volunteers in community projects and will be involved in the upcoming Kunta Kinteh Project. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym as well as watching movies and documentaries.

  • Alimatou Secka

    Alimatou Secka

    OND IN BUILDING TECHNOLOGY

    Alimatou’s passion and dedication to architecture is apparent from her strong academic performance and the qualifications she has attained thus far. Having successfully completed courses in Architectural Draughtsmanship, Architectural Technology and Architecture, Alimatou is now pursuing an OND in Building Technology at the University of Science, Engineering and Technology (USET) to further expand her knowledge in architecture.

    Beyond her studies, Alimatou is also part of a team of volunteers at USET who partake in the upkeep of the university grounds and buildings by constructing, refurbishing and maintaining areas in need of improvement. Recently, she was part of the team engaged in paving the footpaths and driveways at USET. Alimatou’s hobbies include researching, braiding hair and spending quality time with her son.

  • Fatoumata Badjie

    CERTIFICATE IN TROWEL VOCATION

    Fatoumata has been accepted to study Certificate in Trowel Vocation. She frequently volunteers on site to get hands-on experience of the techniques and skills required in masonry and troweling. Fatoumata has a strong drive to become a mason and eventually pursue her dream of becoming a civil engineer in the future.

    Fatoumata was a prefect throughout secondary school and became a senior prefect during her final year of secondary school. In her free time, Fatoumata enjoys gymnastics and sports.

  • Rohey Kah

    BSc IN PLANNING AND DESIGN

    Rohey’s passion for drawing and design not only drove her to successfully attain a Diploma in Architectural Draughtsmanship, but has further pushed her to seek advanced training in architecture by pursuing a BSc in Planning and Design. Rohey has also worked for a real estate company in The Gambia where she has been able to develop her architectural, interior design and landscape skills.

    In her spare time, Rohey does some voluntary work with low income families to prepare simple, affordable and functional architectural drawings for them. Rohey also enjoys baking and watching TV shows on architecture and landscaping.

  • Joanna Mendy

    BSc IN PLANNING AND DESIGN

    Joanna has always dreamt of pursuing a career in architecture and believes that studying BSc in Planning and Design will provide her with an opportunity to fulfil her dreams. She is keen to contribute to the architectural landscape and development of The Gambia.

    In secondary school, Joanna was Head Girl in addition to being part of several clubs including Peer Health, Young Christian Students, Maths and Science. When she is not studying, Joanna enjoys watching TV, drawing and reading novels.
