Caroline Mendy

Caroline was selected as a Tabaxh scholarship recipient in recognition of her strong academic performance and commitment to architectural planning and design. She is currently a final-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Planning and Design at the University of The Gambia.
Throughout her academic journey, Caroline has demonstrated dedication to excellence, consistently performing well in her coursework and developing a strong interest in innovative and environmentally responsive architectural solutions. Her passion for community-focused design has drawn her closer to the field, motivating her to explore how architecture can be used to address environmental challenges and improve living conditions. Despite challenges, she has remained focused on her education and professional goals.
Beyond the classroom, Caroline has gained practical experience through an internship at the Department of Physical Planning, where she acquired knowledge in land use and ownership. She is passionate about community research, actively engages in voluntary work, and enjoys crafting and decorating for events. In her spare time, she relaxes by watching television and playing football.
